PFC Q1 results: Net profit hiked by 23% at Rs. 3,557 crores
New Delhi: To begin with, the state-run Power Finance Corporation, PFC, posted its Q1 results on Thursday. So then, the consolidated net profit of the company increased by 23% at Rs. 3,557.23 crores for the June 2020 quarter. Earlier, in the year-ago period, it stood at Rs. 2,899.74 crores during the same quarter.
On the other hand, the total income hiked to Rs. 16,932.24 crores from Rs. 14,605.12 crores during the quarter under review.
Also, the total expenses stood at Rs. 12,311.18 crores as against Rs. 10,553.52 crores during the June 2019 quarter.

On August 14th, both the Sensex and the Nifty traded at a bullish trend in the stock market. The Sensex gained 96.70 points and reached 38,421.95 levels with a 0.29% profit. On the other side, the Nifty gained 25.45 points and reached 11,326.00 levels with a 0.24% profit.
In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap index gained 37.19 points with a 0.26% profit and reached 14,620.20 levels. Also, the S&P BSE Smallcap index gained 86.41 points with a 0.61% profit and reached a 14,025.20 level.
Besides, as of August 15th, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across India has reached 25,26,192. Also, the number of deaths in the country has reached 49,036.
