Jet Airways decides to extend the deadline for bids

Mumbai: On Tuesday, grounded Jet Airways’ Committee of Creditors (CoC) has decided to extend the deadline. So then, the deadline for the submission of bids has remained extended till March 10th. According to a source, a new entity has come up in the interest of the airlines. 

Besides, the deadline for submitting the bids for Jet Airways which seems to undergo the bankruptcy process ended on Monday. The source also stated that a team from the Far East Asia Development Fund of Russia along with Enso group has met the CoC. So then, it has expressed interest in Jet Airways. 

However, against this backdrop, the CoC has extended the deadline for submission of bids to Mar 10. Also, Mr. Ashish Chhawchharia, the resolution professional for Airways, remained unavailable for comments. 

Besides, it has set up in 2011, the Far East Development Fund stood as a state finance development institution that warrants a flexible approach to projects. However, the Mumbai-based Enso Group has reportedly remained roped in by the fund to find an Indian partner. So then, it could form a consortium that would later put in a formal bid. Hence, it has interests in diverse sectors, including oil and gas, metal mining, healthcare, infrastructure, and also real estate.
