ITDC share price climbs 5% as Nifty Falls

The government of India held ITDC under the ministry of Tourism. It is the public sector undertaking corporation. The firm involves in hospitality, education, retail, and travel solutions. On Thursday, ITDC share price gained around 5 per cent to Rs. 269.70 in early trade. Besides, the NSE benchmark declined 64.15 points at 11,541.90 level.

Indian Tourism Development Corporation started its trade at Rs. 263.00. It reached a day high price of Rs. 274.80. Similarly, the stock hits a day low price of Rs. 263.00. A total of 10,85,133 shares exchanged on the counter. 

It quoted a 52-week high price of Rs. 419.03 and a 52-week low price of Rs. 104.95. However, the market capitalization of ITDC stock stood at Rs. 2,290.47, as of September 17th, 2020.

According to the market valuation ratio, the shares of ITDC traded at a price-to-earnings ratio multiple of 417.38, while the price-to-book value of 7.25.

The firm reported Q1 results for the current financial year. It has published a consolidated sales of Rs. 28.78 crores for Q1 of FY21. However, the Q1 results dropped by 68.37 per cent from the previous quarter of Rs. 90.98 crores due to the spread of COVID-19. The firm had posted Rs. 62.12 crores as consolidated sales for the same quarter a year ago.

Anyhow, the net loss for the latest quarter stood at Rs. 14.57 crores. 

Stock Market September 17th:

On Thursday, both Sensex and Nifty traded in a bearish trend in the stock market. The Sensex started its trade at below to the 39,200 level, while Nifty trading below the 11,600 level. The BSE Sensex drops 124.03 points with a 0.32% decrease and reached a 39,178.82 level. Besides, the Nifty drops 34.40 points with a 0.30% decrease and reached the 11,570.15 level.

On the other hand, the number of confirmed or coronavirus cases in India reached 51,18,253 as of September 17th, and deaths reached 83,230.

In the border markets, the S&P BSE Small-Cap reported a bullish trend in the stock market. It earns 2.42 points with a 0.016% increase and reached the 15,433.32 level. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap gains 18.98 points with a 0.13% increase and reached a 15,064.78 level. While the Nifty Bank drops 96.05 points with a 0.43% drop and reached the 22,477.50 level.
