On July 16th, both the Sensex and the Nifty stood trading at a bullish trend in the stock market. The Sensex gained 283.80 points and reached 36,328.78 levels with a 0.77% profit. On the other side, the Nifty gained 60.00 points and reached 10,680.35 levels with a 0.62% profit.

In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap index lost 15.94 points with 0.12% loss and reached 13,214.73 level. Also, the S&P BSE Smallcap index lost 75.97 points with 0.60% loss and reached a 12,582.04 level. At the same time, the Nifty Bank lost 162.35 points with 0.71% loss and reached a 21,189.80 level.

Besides, as of July 16th, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across India has reached 9,68,876. Also, the number of deaths in the country has reached 24,915.
