On 31st March 2020, Avenue Supermarts Ltd. announced its consolidated sales worth Rs. 3,883.18 Cr. Comparatively, the company sales declined by 37.93% from its last quarter sales of Rs. 6,255.93 Cr. Also, its sales declined by 33.22% of Rs. 5,814.56 Cr in the previous year.

Furthermore, the net profit of Rs. 40.09 Cr declined by 87.59% from the same quarter a year ago. By the ending in March 2020, the company promoters held 74.99% of its stake, FIIs held a 10.42% stake and DIIs held a 5.29% stake.

The Sensex stood traded gain with 38,182.08 levels and Nifty stood traded gain with 11,270.15 levels. The Sensex raised 141.51 points with a 0.37% gain. Besides, Nifty has raised 56.10 points with a 0.50% gain.

On the other hand, the number of confirmed or coronavirus cases in India reached 22,14,137 as of August 10th, and deaths reached 44,466.

In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap index reported a bullish trend in the stock market today. It raised 201.83 points with a 1.42% gain and reached a 14,420.70 level. The S&P BSE Smallcap index raised 200.39 points with a 1.47% gain and reached a 13,869.08 level. However, the Nifty Bank raised 146.25 points with a 0.67% gain and reached a 21,900.25 level.
