JSW Energy Q1 results: Net profit down by 13% at ₹213 cr
New Delhi: To begin with, JSW Energy reported its Q1 results on Friday. So then, the net profit of the firm dropped by 12.70% at Rs. 213 crores for the June 2020 quarter. Earlier, in the previous year, the net profit stood at Rs. 244 crores.
On the other hand, the total revenue dropped by 23% at Rs. 1,887 crores in the June 2020 quarter. Comparatively, in the year-ago period, it stood at Rs. 2,464 crores.
However, short-term sales during the quarter stood down at 123 million units due to the pandemic. Earlier, the firm reported 722 million units. During the June 2020 quarter, the fuel cost dropped by 33% year-on-year at Rs. 915 crores.

On July 31st, both the Sensex and the Nifty traded at a bearish trend in the stock market. The Sensex lost 129.18 points and reached 37,606.89 levels with a 0.34% loss. On the other side, the Nifty lost 28.70 points and reached 11,073.45 levels with a 0.26% loss.
In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap index gained 49.39 points with a 0.36% profit and reached 13,759.11 levels. Also, the S&P BSE Smallcap index gained 105.49 points with a 0.82% profit and reached a 13,021.76 level.
Besides, as of August 1st, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across India has reached 16,95,988. Also, the number of deaths in the country has reached 36,511.
