Delta Corp share price tanks 8% on casinos shutdown
To begin with, on March 17th, the share price of Delta Corp has nosedived to 8% in the intraday trade. Besides, the company had closed its casinos in Sikkim to combat the outbreak of COVID-19.
Also, as a precautionary measure because of the spread of COVID-19 in the country, the government of Sikkim has directed to do so. Moreover, the closure included casinos, discotheques, cinema halls, and gymnasium clubs from March 17, 2020.
Besides, the company stated that its casino in Sikkim would remain closed until April 15, 2020, as per the directions from the government of Sikkim.
However, the company Delta Corp had quoted at Rs 79.40, down Rs 6.65. In other words, it stood down with 7.73% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On the other hand, the stock market traded with a bearish trend today on March 17th. The Sensex trading with a loss of 810.98 points reached 30,579.93 level with 2.58% down. Whereas Nifty also traded with a loss of 230.35 points reached 8,967.05 level with 2.50% down.
In the border market, S&P BSE Midcap traded with a loss of 218.45 points reached 11,670.78 level with 1.84% down. Whereas, S&P BSE SmallCap traded with a loss of 251.40 points reached 10,843.79 level with 2.27% down.
Also, in yesterday’s trade, the stock market traded with a bearish trend. The Sensex traded with a loss of 2,713.41 points reached 31,390.07 level with 7.96% down. Whereas Nifty traded with a loss of 757.80 points reached 9,197.40 level with 7.61% down.
In the border market, the S&P BSE Midcap traded with a loss of 750.13 points reached 11,888.61 level with 5.94% down. Whereas, S&P BSE SmallCap traded with a loss of 666.03 points reached 11,095.22 level with 5.66% down. At the same time, Nifty Bank traded with a loss of 2065.30 points reached 23,101.15 level with 8.21% down.
